When Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his Ministers came to Perth for their Federal Cabinet meeting, we were there to remind them that the majority of Australians want live export to end – sooner rather than later! As part of our campaign we had brand new signage targeting the PM made, to ensure he received our message loud and clear!
Thank you to fierce animal welfare advocate Senator Mehreen Faruqi, who dropped everything to fly across the country to lend her support, and to our stalwart supporter, State Member for South Metropolitan Region Brad Pettitt MLC, who once again took time out of his busy schedule to support our cause. But most of all – a HUGE thank you to our hundreds of supporters who really pulled out all stops this time – coming out during a 44 degree heatwave, on a work day, with only 48 hours’ notice. We were blown away by your commitment to ending this cruel trade – thank you everyone!!
